Fresh off of their win at Sectionals, McKinley High's New Directions is far from resting on their laurels. They're working harder than ever on their new numbers, determined not to let one win go to their heads. They have their biggest competition coming up: Carver High's Vocal Adrenaline. It would be so easy if the only thing they had to worry about was their performance...
Finn's appearance at Sectionals meant nothing in mending his broken relationships. He hasn't talked to Puck or Quinn since the revelation of Quinn's babydaddy, leaving the blonde girl on her own to take care of her growing child. Puck was willing to help, but she shunned his offers. Rachel's still trying to worm her way into Finn's heart, but she doesn't quite know how to get there if it's broken beyond repair. Plus, there's that cute guy from Vocal Adrenaline hanging around town...
The rest of the Gleeks are feeling the heat in rehearsals, and the strain on the group isn't helping polish their choreography. They all look to Will for guidance, but since he left his wife and started a relationship with Emma, he's been trying to get his own life in order. Still, New Directions soldiers on, determined to show just how good they are to the rest of Ohio and eventually, the whole world. First they just have to get past Regionals. Oh, and the renewed vendetta held by one Sue Sylvester, who's back from her short vacation to Cabo, tan and toned for vengeance on the unsuspecting Glee club.
It's bound to be an interesting semester...
